Aug 10, 2008 Wind Conditions: Heavy
Committee boat: Sam Walters - I course Canoe Island and Hogback twice around. At the start wind was out of the South at about 6-8 mph. Wind freshend as we rounded the windward mark. JAKO was first to broach on the way to the leward mark but eventualy all boats followed with the exception of Joy. Everyone fought hard to stay off the rocks of Long Island but not all were succcessful. Unfortunatly there was keel and sail damage for some.
